13th Round Table 2014

"Mobile working environments: mobile, multi-local, individual. The potential of inward and outward migration in Upper Lusatia."

On 26.6.2014, the TRAWOS Institute, together with its cooperation partners, the Institute for Regional Geography (IfL) in Leipzig, the Alliance for the Future of Upper Lusatia (BZOL), the LAURIN project team for regional development, labor market development and democratic participation and the VSBI e.V.'s Re-Turn project in Upper Lusatia, hosted the 13th Round Table Forum on the Görlitz university campus.

50 participants accepted the invitation to take part in four different table discussions to shed light on various aspects of changing working environments and their potential for the sustainable development of the Upper Lusatia region, which are often neglected in the general public debate on the recruitment of skilled workers and labor market developments.

From June 19 to July 3, 2014, the traveling exhibition of the regional alliance for equal opportunities in Bautzen showed exemplary portraits of women in management positions between successful careers in Lusatian companies and their compatibility with family and leisure time in the foyer of the Hermann-Heitkamphaus on the Görlitz campus .
