Structural change in the worlds of knowledge and work has rural society firmly in its grip, not least with the coal phase-out. The structurally entrenched and gender-specific exodus from rural areas exacerbates the social (dis)order in many places and inhibits cultures of innovation.
The practice-oriented project investigates what the alliances and networks created by active women achieve in structural change, what support they need and how science-practice transfer can contribute to anchoring their potential for renewal in politics and society in institutional and regulatory terms. Especially in light of the election results in Saxony, institutionalized cooperation for a gender-sensitive transformation culture is needed as an important signal to emphasize and further update the structural strengthening necessity in addition to the numerous voluntary connections.
