Case studies and practical examples for the "Second Cultural Industries Report for the Free State of Saxony (5/2017 - 9/2017)

Interim report on the cultural and creative industries in the Free State of Saxony" on behalf of PROGNOS AG

Prognos AG and the TRAWOS Institute for Transformation, Housing and Social Spatial Development at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences were commissioned by the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport to prepare the interim report.

Based on existing expertise and network structures at the TRAWOS Institute in the field of Saxony's cultural and creative industries, the TRAWOS Institute, as a subcontractor of PROGNOS AG, undertook the qualitative research and development of case studies and best practice examples of cultural and creative industries companies in Saxony for the "Second Cultural Industries Report for the Free State of Saxony Lot 1: Interim Report on the Cultural and Creative Industries in the Free State of Saxony".

The interim report published by the SMWA on 28.02.2018 forms the core of the update to the Second Cultural Industries Report (2nd KWB). The interim report provides information on the current situation of the CCIs, analyzes the submarkets on the basis of statistical key figures and presents the development of the economic key figures of the CCIs in the period from 2010 to 2016. The interim report describes the overall economic significance of the CCIs as a whole and their submarkets in detail and identifies current challenges and potential.
