Gender equality work at the HSZG

In the research colloquium on "(Self-)Understanding Gender Research at the HSZG", we would like to discuss with you which basic assumptions about gender underlie our research activities and which reactionary images we may run the risk of perpetuating with our research work. We look forward to outlining overlaps and entering into an exchange on disparities and ambivalences.
To this end, Monique Ritter (Research Associate Gender and Diversity Research) and Bernadette Rohlf (Research Associate ESF Junior Research Group "Promotion of Women through Individual and Organizational Competence in Education and Career (MINT)") will discuss the theoretical understanding of their own academic work in the context of gender and identify challenges that arise in the field of tension between omnipresent patriarchal structures and the claim of project-related funding structures that work with terms such as "promotion of women". Where do (mostly unintentional) attributions take place that (re-)produce mechanisms of exclusion? How/can we find a balance between structural criticism and reference to individual responsibility and create scope for action? You are cordially invited to join the debate on these and other questions.
