The project ‘Green Future in the PL-D Border Region’ aims to leverage the opportunities and possibilities arising from structural change in the field of energy transition to deepen cross-border cooperation. The University of Applied Sciences Zittau Görlitz will hold a hackathon on the topic with German and Polish students. In addition, two conferences are planned on site, as well as further cooperation events together with the project partners for business and scientific companies in the border triangle. The project thus ties in with the previous project ‘DigiNetPolSax – Digitalisation for the Common Economic Area’, which aimed to strengthen the economic competitiveness of the Saxon-Polish border region by promoting cross-border cooperation.
The project is funded by the European Union as part of the INTERREG Poland-Saxony 2021–2027 cooperation programme.
The university's funding amounts to €439,160.79 ERDF.
