Cornelia Müller from the Faculty of Social Sciences receives Mättig Scholarship 2023.
The Dr. Gregorius Mättig Foundation from Bautzen awards an annual scholarship to promote young researchers (bachelor's, diploma, master's and doctoral theses and/or their publication) for the research, development, preservation and presentation of the cultural and historical heritage of Upper Lusatia and Bautzen (including indirectly the history of Gregorius Mättig and his foundations). The scholarship is intended to directly support the scholarship holder's academic work, the publication of their work or the continuation of their academic career. On September 24, 2023, two scholarships in the amount of 1200 euros were awarded for the first time. Of the numerous applications received, the Board of Trustees selected the work of Cornelia Müller and Lisa Hallex for the award. The award ceremony took place on September 24, 2023 during a festive service at St. Peter's Cathedral in Bautzen.
